You are also very welcome to visit our workshop. Our hours are Wednesday and Friday, 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and saturday, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. We kindly request, however, that you arrange dates and times of tours with us in advance.

HOW TO FIND US

By car from the north

– A 42, take exit Gelsenkirchen-Heßler / Essen-Katernberg
– at the roundabout take the exit towards Katernberg, Stoppenberg (Schalker Straße, Katernberger Straße)
– continue a total of ca. 2.7 kilometers
– at the first traffic light after the railway underpass, turn right on to Bullmannaue
– continue driving until you reach the coal mine complex (Zeche) – then keep left
– the workshop is in two low buildings after 100 m

By car from the south

– A 40, take exit Essen-Frillendorf / Essen-Katernberg toward Stoppenberg, Katernberg (Ernestinenstraße, Gelsenkirchener Strasse
– continue a total of ca. 3.9 kilometers
– continue past the former main entrance to the Zeche Zollverein, Schacht XII
– continue ca. 400 meters and then turn left on to Haldenstrasse
– you reach the coal mine complex (Zeche) – keep left
– the workshop is in two low buildings on the left side after 100 m

By car from downtown Essen

– from the Town Hall drive a total of 4.5 kilometers, heading north toward Stoppenberg, Katernberg (Schützenbahn, Stoppenberger Strasse, Essener Strasse, Gelsenkirchener Strasse)
– continue past the former main entrance to the Zeche Zollverein, Schacht XII
– continue ca. 400 meters and then turn left on to Haldenstrasse
– turn left again on to Bullmannaue
– continue driving until you reach the coal mine complex (Zeche) – keep left
– the workshop is in two low buildings on the left side after 100 m

By public transportation

– stop Katernberg Süd
